Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer, also known as The Lonely Island, are back and better than ever. This go round, fans won't have to settle for hilarious, but fleeting videos on Youtube or Saturday Night Live. They are heading straight to the big screen. In the tradition of past mockumentaries, most notably This Is Spinal Tap, the trio are taking aim at the soft music documentaries that have populated the theaters as of late, like Justin Bieber'Never Say Never. The comedy will follow a rapper that reunites his old boy band, after his album tanks.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Judd Apatow has already signed on to produce the unnamed film. Schaffer and Taccone will handle the directing duties, while all of The Lonely Island will assist Apatow and Rodney Rothman on the production side of things. Filming is already underway in Los Angeles, so it seems fans won't have to wait too long to see their famous parody boy band on the big screen.
