Quality Control Music has become one of hip-hop's fastest rising independent label, thanks to the Migos' and OG Maco's recent string of successes. Today, it was announced that Atlanta based label has signed a joint venture with Capitol Music Group and Motown Records. In a statement given to Billboard, Quality Control's CEO Pierre "Pee" Thomas stated, "We believe that this partnership will help us expand our brand globally. As the saying goes, 'When you work hard, it pays off.'"

Quality Control Music's roster will be affiliated with Capitol Music Group or Motown Records team, with the decision being made on a case-by-case decision between the two companies. Universal Music Distribution or Capitol Music Group's Caroline will handle the releases. The first project from this joint venture will be OG Maco's Children Of Rage, due out in later this year.

Motown's President, Ethiopia Habtemariam, voiced her excitement for the new venture. She sees a lot of parallels between Quality Control and Motown Records: "Like Motown, the goals are aligned in moving urban culture forward with music and talent that connect around the world. We're all on the same page and are going to make major waves."

Quality Control Music's COO, Kevin "Coach K" Lee is hopeful and excited for what their partnership will bring in the future: "The people there are really good at what they do, and we'll be providing them with great music and artist development to enhance their growth. Teaming together should bring awesome results for everyone."
