Today is Lauryn Hill's 40th birthday, and one of the best ways to celebrate is to pretend she's been a solo artist all along. A writer for Uproxx was curious about what a Lauryn Hill solo album focused on hip-hop would sound like, so he edited the classic Fugees record The Score to remove Pras and Wyclef Jean. The result is a surprisingly cohesive, 26-minute version with Hill as the one and only star. Now you have to decide if it's good enough to make you turn your back on the original.
