Listen to Vic Mensa's "U Mad" f/ Kanye West

It sounds cutthroat and unmerciful.

Vic Mensa has been keeping busy as of late, not satisfied to sit on the momentum that is often attached to a Kanye West co-sign. The "Down On My Luck" MC has been performing shows all around Europe, and recently came home to continue doing the same Stateside. All the while, he has consistently been in the studio recording new music and prepping his next project. After teasing a new song at the Kanye show at KOKO London last month, Vic played more of Ye's verse and the track at a surprise DJ gig this week.

"U Mad" is a Cam'ron troll in musical form, a homage to not giving a fuck about a hater's feeling. Smoko Ono and D Phelps produced a bombastic track, and you can hear a new snippet below:

UPDATE 4/10/15: Vic just dropped the full song on his site and Soundcloud, which you can check out below. Off of a quick listen, the collaboration sounds even crisper than in the preview, with Vic and 'Ye rapping with crazy confidence over the haunting, horn-heavy production. This is now the second known collaboration between Vic and Kayne, following "Wolves," which is set to be the intro on Kanye's "So Help Me God" album.

The hook, where Vic repeats, "Like I don't know nobody, oh you mad huh?" really pushes the song forward and opens up the possibility that it becomes a true spring and summer banger. While both Kanye and Vic have plenty of dope lines on the song, Vic does drop a questionable lyric about the Ray Rice domestic abuse case during his second verse. Vic raps, "But if she bad I might hit a bitch in the elevator like Ray Rice."
