The premise of the show will take Crooked, along with Sway, and SMH Records CEO Mike Smith, across the country searching for the next big thing in rap, with the show's final winner taking home $100,000 and an exclusive contract with SMH.

As the series gets closer and closer to its air date, it has been announced that each week, contestants on the show will perform in front of a group of celebrity hip-hop judges who will grade the initial rounds of the competition on a week-to-week basis. So far, T.I., Game, DJ Khaled, RZA, Twista, Scarface, E-40, and more have been revealed as special celebrity judges for the show.

The judge's will determine a final four rappers from each of the eight cities, who will then enter the studio with producer Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith to get ready for the main event and a chance to get to move onto the show's season finale, which will be held in Las Vegas.
