Curren$y has been collecting cars ever since he was a young buck. Of course, back then, those cars were all toys, but still. You gotta start somewhere. In fact, Curren$y’s auto fixation was a driving force (yeah, we said it) behind why he got into music in the first place. While his friends' methods of acquiring cars led to “jail and bullets,” he chose to pursue a rap career so that he could afford to buy the same things outright.
In the final episode of our Coors Light Axis series, Curren$y delves into his love of all things automobile—but he also goes much further, discussing everything from his philanthropic work in New Orleans to the crossroads he once faced between performing or, quite possibly, prison. Thankfully for him—and his fans—he chose the former. All the more reason to fire those engines up.
