Today would have marked the 43rd birthday for Bronx MC Big Pun, who passed away in 2000 after suffering a fatal heart attack and respiratory failure. While his life may have been cut short, Pun still left behind an impressive catalog that has aged well, and close collaborators like Fat Joe have certainly upheld his name following his death.

It's always nice, then, when some vintage Punisher music gets swept from under the rug and into our hands. Veteran producer and former collaborator Domingo has done just that, sharing a rare release from Pun that also features Fat Joe, Easy Mo Bee, and Shaquille O'Neal. Yes, this dude. As it turns out, the track was originally intended for Shaq's 1996 album, You Can't Stop the Reign. The song has been floating around in some form for years, but thanks to Domingo, we get some rare heat to bump on Pun's b-day.

Big Pun's son, Chris Rivers, also shared a freestyle over "Super Lyrical" in honor of his father. Check both of the tracks out below.
