Thanks to Lorde's position as the curator for The Hunger Games: The Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, there's been a steady stream of new music from Lorde, excluding her cameo on South Park. She released the haunting, but sonically all-encompassing "Yellow Flicker Beat" last month as the first Hunger Games soundtrack offering.
On "This Is Not A Game," Lorde plays more of a curator than a visible artist. Taking a new track from the Chemical Brothers, she brought Miguel on board to provide vocals in the same vein as what he performed on his last album, Kaleidoscope Dream. The Chemical Brother's crunching EDM and well-positioned orchestration creates a familiar tone for Miguel to rock with. She's on her Dr. Dre 2001 shit for sure on this Hunger Games soundtrack.
