After teasing fans with a handful of impressive releases like "Munny Right," as well as stunning visuals for "Carry Your Throne" and "Luxury," Jon Bellion finally shares his new album, The Definition. The project comes nines months after his previous release, The Separation, and it certainly shines a light on his musical and personal growth in that time span.

As a member of Visionary Music Group—the same label that boasts budding lyricists Logic and QuESt—Jon Bellion settles in as the eclectic creative of the crew. He sings, he raps, he produces, and excels at each level on The Definition. Besides a few ancillary vocal guests, the project has only one lone feature, frequent collaborator Blaque Keyz on "Preoccupied." This allows Bellion to take center stage and share his full story, which includes triumphant moments like the aforementioned "Munny Right," or "A Haunted House," a metaphorical cut that delves into his bout with love and pain.

Even with dark themes of heartbreak and the struggles of attaining success, The Definition is inherently upbeat, as it should be. Jon Bellion earned his first No. 1 song last year with Eminem and Rihanna's "The Monster," a record he co-wrote. He also co-wrote and produced Jason Derulo's "Trumpets," which cracked the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100. In that respect, The Definition represents the next phase of Bellion's career, and it's fair to say he's peaking at just the right time. This Long Island boy has certainly come a long way.
