Last year, Ebony Oshunrinde—better known to us as WondaGurl—was the then-16-year-old producer behind Travi$ Scott's Owl Pharaoh track, "Uptown" and Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail standout, "Crown." The now 17-year-old beat girl returned earlier this year when she competed alongside Boi-1da's #TeamTO at The Beat Academy's "Champion Sound Beat Battle" at SXSW and took home the grand prize. Like last year, the Canadian-bred producer is gearing up to have another wonderful year.

WondaGurl is looking to to end the summer on a high note like she did last summer. "The North" is a beat she premiered back in March at SXSW which samples both the national anthems of Canada and the United States but still heavily pays tribute to the side the Canadian-born producer is from. Listen to WondaGurl's "The North," with additional piano and strings by Daniel Skeete—down below.
