True (short) story: I didn't know what this "Rude" song was until Complex panned it. The premise and lyrics are cringe-worthy (and make me remember why I sought out instrumental music for a while), but the pop elements in the hook are enough for Zedd to turn this into a festival-rocking late summer addition. Maybe Zedd should remix EVERY meh pop tune out there. This is one of those hooks that got my son's ears perked up—maybe this will replace "Happy" as his go-to summer 2014 jam. Rave God help me...
