Atlanta rapper Jarren Benton recently came through the Complex offices to talk about being signed to Funk Volume, standing out from a crowded ATL scene, and what it feels like to be coming up in the industry at 32.

Benton was candid about wanting to provide for his family ahead of pursuing his dream, and he made it clear that he's thrilled to finally being able to do both at once. He also discussed his next project, even plugging his need for a new producer to take his sound to the next level. Benton dished on his time as a dental assistant, including a ridiculous story about a crackhead, dentures, and farts.

If you're not up on Benton, you can check out his 2012 release My Grandma's Basement. Watch our interview above.
