Seattle alt-pop group Fences link up with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on their new single "Arrows," a song that will be featured on their upcoming sophomore album Lesser Oceans. This follows the release of "Songs About Angels," a cheerful tune led by Christopher Mansfield, Fences' frontman and creator. The rest of the group is comprised of Ben Greenspan (guitar), Lindsey Starr (bass), and Aaron Steele (drums).

Aside from Fences and Macklemore sharing the same area code, the musical link between these two Seattle acts runs pretty deep. In 2011 they collaborated on the remix of "Otherside," a record that centered around Macklemore's bout with drug and alcohol abuse.  Mansfield could certainly relate to this topic, who likewise dealt with alcohol problems in the past. Mansfield also co-wrote "Ten Thousand Hours," the high-spirited opening track off Macklemore and Lewis' full-length debut, The Heist

Fences' Lesser Oceans will be released October 14 on Elektra Records. For now, check out "Arrows" below.
