There's an amazing plethora of young Caucasian producers worldwide at-present obsessively churning out soul tracks with a multitude of electronic motivations. This movement leads to three obvious thoughts: a) it leads one to believe that Timbaland could have fathered tens of thousands of interracial children 20 years ago, b) the 90s R&B impulse (be it American, UK or otherwise) is solidly the most controlling impulse driving the underground, or c) in remembering this, it's reason enough to listen to the latest free download from the progenitor of this movement, Canadian beat-smith Ryan Hemsworth.

Co-produced with Japan's Qrion, "Every Square Inch" almost mystically combines blog-friendly soul antics with festival-friendly big room builds and enough trap to make the ratchets drop it low. Sounding like something far more out of the canon of Dillon Francis than Cashmere Cat, this cut is a prime #plurnt makeout anthem, filling it's own space in the void of sounds that will likely run the denouement of peak-hour sets all summer long.
