What's Brooklynite and Slaughterhouse member-in-good-standing Joell Ortiz been up to lately? We've been wondering ourselves, and didn't hestitate to drop in when he invited us to the studio to hear some of his new album House Slippers.

On arrival, he straight Captain Phillips'd the Complex News operation, and started to direct, produce, and conduct interviews himself, as one (member of Slaughterhouse) does. He spoke with executive producers, The Heatmakerz, in addition to members of Penalty Records. He also even scored us a few soundbites from the homie Victor Cruz, who was around to hear the new project. You'd think after playing his new joints and interviewing, he'd be tired, but no: Ortiz followed all of that up with a live, in-studio freestyle. Check the video—and Ortiz's 360-degree hustle—above, and keep it locked to Complex News as you watch us lose our jobs to rappers.
