Nobody does real talk like Reggie Ossé a.k.a. Combat Jack. The former rap industry attorney, media executive, author, and Internet radio talk-show personality now hosts The Combat Jack Show, where hip-hop's biggest names are put on the front line. The questions will be tough—and shots will be fired. Co-hosted by Dallas Penn, Premium Pete, and Just Blaze, The Combat Jack Show appears every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday on Complex TV.

In this episode of The Combat Jack Show, guests from season one talk about being influenced by more than just music growing up. It's no secret that drugs play some type of role in the life of many rappers, and the ones here are no different. Talib Kweli shares his own story of trying to sell weed as a teenager. It didn't work out for the Brooklyn MC because he started to get high on his own supply. It also didn't help that one of his friends at boarding school was stealing weed from him.

Later on Gunplay talks about his past use of cocaine. Aside from a recent relapse the 34-year-old MMG rapper says he has been clean of the drug since 2008. At one point though Gunplay was snorting cocaine on a regular basis while he was hustling on the streets. "At that time I was just living for the moment," he says. "You out here, riding around trying to get your little money, man, it's a little pick me up." He stopped using after witnessing his own family and friends fall victim to the drug. "The long-term effects of that shit though, it fuck up your attitude," Gunplay says.
