Angel Haze tried leaking her debut album, Dirty Gold, yesterday after expressing her frustration with the label. Angel wanted the album to come out before the end of 2013, but had received a March 2014 date from Island Records. She put the album up on SoundCloud, but it was swiftly taken down.

Last night, she announced that due to the pressure she put on the label by leaking the album, they had moved the release date up to December 30. She tweeted the following message

None

Angel is not the first artist to have had issues with her label over delayed release dates. M.I.A. famously threatened to leak her new album because she felt Interscope was taking too long. More recently, Jeezy took to Twitter to air out Def Jam over their inability to give his album a release date.
