The Combat Jack Show opened its doors to Hot 97's program director Ebro Darden for the second time to talk about New York hip-hop and the state of radio. Despite being depicted as an individual who doesn't like underground rap —his "Minor League" comments immediately come to mind— Ebro says he enjoys Bodega Bamz, Joey Bada$$, World's FairAction Bronson, and Bitches Is Crazy. Still, he wants to see more artists take their careers seriously. "There's talent and there's task," he says. "I think that you have a lot of people out there who really don't know what it takes to be successful in this game." Listen to the full episode below where he also addressed Trinidad Jame$' comments on New York rap.
