Nobody does real talk like Reggie Ossé a.k.a. Combat Jack. The former rap industry attorney, media executive, author, and Internet radio talk-show personality now hosts The Combat Jack Show, where hip-hop's biggest names are put on the front line. The questions will be tough—and shots will be fired. Co-hosted by Dallas Penn, Premium Pete, and Just Blaze, The Combat Jack Show appears every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday on Complex TV.

In this episode of The Combat Jack Show, a handful of rappers discuss memorable Nas stories from the past. Large Professor, who is largely credited with discovering the talented MC, talks about why he considers Nas "The Golden Child" of rap. "I met Nas [through] my man Joe Fatal," he says. "I always liked Nas because he was out of the ordinary. If he said 'Cat,' it wouldn't be 'Hat,' it would be 'Arafat.'"

Black Thought also details his own Nas story, which included some negative comments between the two rappers over a movie The Roots starred in. "We hadn't really met before when we was going back and forth," he says. "In some interview [Nas] made a comment about how wack it was for us to do the movie Bamboozled with Spike Lee. And how, 'You going to call yourself The Roots and Black Thought and you're portraying a group called The Alabama Porch Monkeys in Spike Lee’s movie with the ball and chain.'"

Thankfully, the two sides would settle their differences. "There was a show one night with Talib Kweli, and I think Kweli invited Nas and he invited me, and we were all there in the building together," Black Thought recalls. "I had a chance to meet Nas, and he explained to me that it wasn't coming from a personal place and he basically apologized."
