Two-9 crew member Curtis Williams just unleashed his latest project, Half Forgotten Daydreams. This release from the Atlanta upstart finds him in a very unique space sonically, especially compared to artists like Migos and Rich Homie Quan, who are generating a buzz out of Atlanta at the moment. The beats, helmed by Childish Major, C4, and Ceej of Two-9, among others, are mellow and smooth, showcasing a range of instrumentation that is paired with pulsating 808s.

As an emcee, Williams keeps things simple, using charisma and flow to engage the listener. That said, he is no slouch lyrically. He demonstrates this best on the track "Philmore Slim," which finds him trading bars with Chicago's Vic Mensa. Both rappers come correct with their verses, making this a standout selection off the project, as it highlights two emerging talents who are on the cusp of reaching the next level.

The Two-9 collective continues to put its stamp on the burgeoning Atlanta hip-hop scene with yet another strong release. And thiey're far from finished with their musical output. More to come soon enough, but in the interim, check out Half Forgotten Daydreams below.
