Is Rusko strictly drum & bass right now? We heard "Takeoff" and understood he was knocking out dnb tracks, but this entire EP is at that tempo, from the filthy drumstep of the title track to the hyper "Murda Sound." Lift Me Up, which will be released by Skrillex's OWSLA imprint on July 2, might either be Rusko's drum & bass project, or the signal of his departure into dnb waters. Whatever you want to call it, you have to admit... dude's not that bad at it. He's not bringing the most heady, deep tunes to the forefront, but for dnb tracks that - importantly - could work for EDM fans who might not be in the genre? This EP could be a stepping stone.
