Yesterday, DJ Muggs dropped a preview of his Danny Brown-assisted "Headfirst," and we told you we'd have something special for today. We've had a chance to check out Bass For Your Face, Muggs' forthcoming album for Ultra Music, and it's a stunning example of when the hip-hop and EDM worlds collide. The EDM influence Muggs showcases throws everything into the pot, from heavy dubstep riddims to more neck-snapping electro breakdowns.
Itchy Robot's "Shotta' remix is featured on the album, and actually showcases a number of different vibes. We get the reggae/dub vibe from the "original shotta" vocal, as well as some beautiful horns and guitars, but then it drops into a vicious dubstep assault. And just when you get used to what's presented, the beat then picks up double-time. Intoxicating, all-encompassing music. And we've got the exclusive premiere for you.
Bass For Your Face drops on January 15.
