It’s been a few days now since word hit that the release of Cruel Summer, the highly anticipated compilation from Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, had been postponed. Now, in a recent interview, Grammy-nominated producer Hit-Boy gave a little more insight into the album’s progress, and it looks like there is still some work to be done.
Hit-Boy said that the whole team was going to Hawaii, “just helping Kanye finish up Cruel Summer and doing some ideas for his new stuff…. [We’re] just fine-tuning, everybody’s adding their last little input and verses here and there. It’s going to be crazy, I can tell you that.” Watch the Hit-Boy interview above and pick up Cruel Summer September 18 (hopefully).
