Protesting and getting arrested seem to go hand in hand these days, and Brother Ali is the latest rapper to find that out the hard way. The Minnesota native and Rhymesayers emcee has been heavily involved with the Occupy Homes Minnesota movement, which looks to help families who are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosures. On Thursday evening, Ali and 13 others were swooped up by the cops for trespassing and refusing to depart as they protested at the house of the Cruz family, a home that went into foreclosure in 2011.

Ali's court date is scheduled for July 5 after he posted the $50 bail at the Hennepin County Jail.
