Rise Against's account was hacked, too.

When we last connected presidential hopeful Ron Paul to the music world, we reported that Kelly Clarkson's album sales began to drop after she endorsed him on Twitter. Now, we're learning that something else Twitter- and Paul-related has gone down.

And if you happen to follow No Doubt, Nicole Scherzinger, or Rise Against, you might already know what we're talking about. Apparently the three music acts' Twitter accounts were recently hacked by supporters of the Republican candidate.

After a tweet went out endorsing Paul on No Doubt's account, it was followed by this message: "If you actually read what Ron Paul is saying, you will discover that for the first time in your life a politician is not lying to you." Those tweets were subsequently deleted and No Doubt quickly cleared things up: "Our Twitter account was hacked last night. No political endorsements at this time. Love, No Doubt."

Anyone else think this is beyond ridiculous? And why did they target No Doubt, Rise Against, and Nicole Scherzinger? Rise Against kind of makes given their political/social commentaries in their lyrics, but... this is just so bizarre.
