This week DJ Khaled dropped a new song, Drake got big money to perform at a bar mitzvah, and FOX News went after Common.

Story of The Week: FOX News & Sarah Palin vs Common & The White House

This week, FOX News reminded us how much they love to hate on hip-hop. Monday, when word leaked that first lady Michelle Obama had invited Common to The White House for a Wednesday night poetry evening, FOX was appalled and they quickly denounced Common.

FOX called Common a vile, cop-killer rapper and villinized him by citing his poem “A Letter To The Law” out of context. Sarah Palinchimed in on Twitter, prompting Common to take to the social network for a response.
Thankfully, Jon Stewart ethered FOX on The Daily Show by bringing up the station’s hypocrisy over the whole fiasco. On Wednesday, despite FOX's outcry and with defense from The White House, the poetry event went off without a hitch.

Song of The Week: DJ Khaled f/ Drake, Rick Ross, & Lil Wayne “I’m On One”

DJ Khaled set the rap Twitterverse ablaze last night when he dropped this banger featuring Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne. Drake performs hook duty and shows out with a mean verse sprinkled with a few controversial lines. Ross and Wayne follow suit. Looks like Khaled’s got another heat rock to warm us up for We The Best Forever, in stores June 28.

Although DJ Khaled would argue he’s the best at everything, but in the past some might say his cardio-game was a little less than impressive. Not anymore. Khaled combines what he does best, talking shit giving motivational speeches, with a new workout plan to get you right for the summer. With Khaled on his Richard Simmons, how can you not be motivated?

Win of The Week / Fail of The Week

jermaine dupri

Slutwave megastar Katy Perry has been winning all year long, literally. This week she became the first artist in the history of the Billboard music charts to spend 52 weeks in the Top 10. Her run started with hits like “California Girls” and “Teenage Dream,” and was kept alive with “Fireworks” and “E.T.” Congrats to her.

Meanwhile, So So Def pioneer Jermaine Duprigot handed a child support lawsuit from the mother of his 7-year-old daughter. The woman claims he’s been missing payments since he was ordered to pay $2,500 a month to her back in March. Pouring salt in the wound is the fact that Dupri currently owes almost $500,000 in back taxes to Uncle Sam. Obviously, that Bow Wow money wasn’t enough to keep him from getting So So Deep In Debt.

I'm not anti-rap. In fact, like Bret Baier, I know the lyrics to 'Rapper's Delight,' too.

Number of The Week: How Much Will It Cost To Have Drake At Your Bar Mitzvah?

jewish drake
$250,000 to be exact. At least that’s what former NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker had to shell out to get Drake to perform at his son's bar mitzvah last weekend. Although the price tag may seem a little steep, it was actually the more cost effective rout. The family’s first choice was Kanye West, who would’ve cost them a cool $1 million. Ballin’ on a budget and you still get to see Drake? That deserves a mazel tov.
