It Looks Like Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill Traded Subs Over Jay Z's ‘4:44’

Jay Z's rhymes about flashing cash on Instagram may have spawned some subliminal IG shots between Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill.

With Jay Z’s 4:44 trending on various social media platforms since its release, it appears Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have weighed in on some of the project’s bars while simultaneously taking some subliminal shots at each other.

“The Story of O.J.” finds Jay Z blasting some aspects of Instagram culture by rhyming, “Y’all on the ’Gram holdin’ money to your ear/There’s a disconnect we don’t call that money over here.”

Given that 4:44 was an exclusive Tidal release and Nicki is a co-owner of Jay’s streaming service, she took to IG to co-sign Jay Z’s rhymes from both “The Story of O.J.” and “Kill Jay Z” with a post of her own.

“Oh so u niggaz gon sit up here & act like #Wifey aint BEEN tell y'all 1. Don't lose the baddest girl in the world. #EricBenet 2. Stop throwing money ya ass ain't rlly got. 3. Stop posting them tired stacks on the gram oh but when Jay say it it's #bible tho,” Nicki wrote in a lengthy, emoji-filled caption. “Bad btchs unite!!!! We ain't BEEN droppin jewels on these niggaz behind closed doors? tuh! very girl is making one of these 3 faces at a nigga right now. 😭 womp womp #PrettyGang #FAX.”

Many believe Meek and Nicki have been trading both subliminal and explicit shots since their split in January. That belief stems in part from Meek claiming Nicki paid bloggers to discredit him, anonymous sources hinting to TMZ that Meek may have been connected to a burglary at Nicki’s Los Angeles home, and two men assaulting Nicki’s ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, just as Meek pulled up to an event Samuels was attending during BET weekend.

Fellow Tidal co-owner Meek has been known to stunt on Instagram with large amounts of cash, and he appeared to respond in what is believed to be a since-deleted Instagram post screen captured by BallerAlert.

“When they gone come out wit a cd about all the shit these fake b#%ches be doing???” Meek wrote in his caption. “Fake skin color… fake weaves…. fake ass … fake mileage … fake nails…. fake friends etc … can somebody speak up. when you finally see them without everything on naggers be sick forreal #dontmakeme #youknowimsavage #howdareyou.”

Any potential shots aside, both posts served as some additional promo for 4:44. In addition to both Meek and Nicki making multiple posts about Jay Z’s latest album and both being Tidal co-owners, Meek Mill signed a management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation in May of 2012.
