Cops Left This Hilarious Note for Grower After Finding and Destroying His Cannabis Plants

But seriously, leave growers alone and let them flourish.

When our extraterrestrial friends finally make their long-awaited trip down to Earth, I imagine the first thing they'll ask us mere humans about is why we let state-sponsored paranoia ruin so many people's chance at getting high and having a killer time. "We smoked all the way here," these extraterrestrial travelers will likely say, laughing at the decades we spent arguing about a plant that makes people feel good.

Still, at least the occasional cop—tasked, for some reason, with weed busts instead of something that might actually help people—has a sense of humor about the preposterousness of what they're doing. Thames Valley Police in the U.K., for example, decided to leave a congenial handwritten note after finding a fine-looking cannabis grow operation in a wooded area in Oxford over the weekend.

For those with an aversion to handwritten pieces of literature, this is what the note says:

Oops! Sorry we missed each other, but feel free to call me on 101 so we can discuss a deal. Lots of love, TVP xx.

According toBBC News, the officers lamely decided to let the collection of potential product discovered between the Wolvercote Mill Stream and the A34 completely go to waste by seizing and promptly destroying it.

No arrests have been made, which is a small victory in an otherwise maddening story. Funny note, dudes, but maybe next time just let the grower flourish.
