Smoking Weed Might Actually Improve Your Memory

New research is said to show that THC might actually improve your memory.

I used to think that I was losing my memory because of my, ahem, previous passion for trees, but based on this new research that says THC might improve memory, I guess I'm just getting old.

A new study was conducted where old mice were given THC in small doses on a daily basis. The old mice were said to show "a dramatic improvement in cognitive functions." This sounds great, but it's hard to tell how actual people would react in a similar study.

Keep in mind, the "older" mice were like 18 months old. To conduct their research, the mice were implanted with small pumps that would release THC on a daily basis for a month; some mice, sadly, didn't get THC. All of the mice were given certain tasks to do, from finding a hidden platform in a pool of water, and the old mice who were given some THC on the reg were better at learning the task than their non-blunted counterparts. Apparently, some of the lit old mice were performing on a level of the young mice, which might mean that you should be copping trees for grandma for her next birthday.

On the flipside, however, some of the younger, blunted mice fucked up on their cognitive tests, which is similar to previous studies on how marijuana harms the young. Youngsters shouldn't be getting lit, though, so all of this is in line with what we expected.

Now I just need to find my keys...
