Sh*t sandwiches are, no doubt, an interesting meal choice. You ever had one? They reportedly taste like sh-t. According toCNN, Ret. Vice Adm. Bob Harward felt Trump's recent offer to make him the new national security adviser had a lot in common with one of these fecal matter sandwich concoctions.

A pal of Harward toldCNN he was hesitant to accept the offer because the White House "seems so chaotic." More specifically, Harward reportedly considered the offer itself a "shit sandwich." As previously stated, a "shit sandwich" is a sandwich composed of bread and sh*t.

In a statement obtained by the New York Daily News, Harward claimed personal reasons for his decision and failed to mention any alleged sandwich of sh*t. "Like all service members understand, and live, this job requires 24 hours a day, 7 days a week focus and commitment to do it right," Harward said Thursday. "I currently could not make that commitment. My thoughts and prayers are with those that carry such heavy burdens and responsibility for taking care of our country's national security concerns. God bless this great country of ours."

Less than a month after starting the job, Michael Flynn resigned as national security adviser Monday night following allegations of his potential vulnerability to blackmail by Russia. In a resignation letter obtained byCNN, Flynn claimed he had "inadvertently briefed" Pence and others with "incomplete information" regarding communications with the Russian ambassador. Trump later made Ret. Lt. Gen. Joseph Keith Kellogg the acting national security adviser

But anyway. These sandwiches are terrible.
