This has to be the most confusing and horrific backflip attempt ever.

There should be an unspoken rule: if you're out at a function, and there's a performer doing their thing, the last thing you need to be doing is stealing their shine, especially if you aren't capable of doing so. This poor guy's fail during a Michael Jackson impersonator's performance is proof-positive that if you aren't on the bill, don't get on stage.

In this clip, which the Daily Mail reports might have been recorded in Russia, a Michael Jackson impersonator is just doing what Michael Jackson impersonators do: get their MJ on while rocking to "Smooth Criminal."

Keep in mind, we didn't say dude was any GOOD, but he was feeling himself and the crowd seemed to be mesmerized, at the very least. Well, all except for this one guy, who decided to steal the show by hitting a backflip off the chair you see being pushed into frame in the GIF up above.

Now, Ray Charles could see that this was going to end horribly, but sometimes people have to learn for themselves. So, here's what happened when a novice acrobat tries to interrupt a mediocre Michael Jackson impersonator's performance. It's also uncertain if this moment was a part of the act or if he was just trying to one-up the impersonator.

Now that looks terrible. And while I wish I had an update, the only thing I can say is that a couple of people helped this poor guy out after he hit that massive fail of a backflip. It's hard to tell what happened to him, though. He definitely landed on his head at an awkward angle, and appears to have knocked himself out, but what's up with his back? Or his neck? Whatever happened, the two guys who reportedly lifted him up and took him into an ambulance, while having the right idea, could have made his situation worse.

The real f*cked up part about this entire clip is that through all of this, the MJ impersonator kept it moving. That's some cold sh*t, but maybe he got on his Ivan Drago and decided to let the show go on.
