Is there anything Linda Sarsour can’t do? The born-and-raised Brooklynite is the executive director of the Arab-American Association of New York, and was one of the lead organizers of the Women’s March on Washington—the biggest protest in U.S. history. Deemed a “Champion of Change” by the Obama administration, Sarsour was also a delegate at last year's Democratic National Convention, and acted as a surrogate for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during his presidential campaign.

Now, Sarsour is the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump’s executive order that bans citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S. Complex sat down with Sarsour to discuss the basis of the suit against Trump, how the Muslim ban affects all of us, and everyday actions we can take to fight fascism.
