Jeremy 'Hot Mugshot Guy' Meeks Makes New York Fashion Week Debut

Jeremy "Hot Mugshot Guy" Meeks has returned to induce envy at New York Fashion Week.

Jeremy Meeks, once known as the "hot mugshot guy," made his New York Fashion Week debut Monday. Meeks walked in the Philipp Plein show Monday night rocking black-on-black awesomeness, the New York Daily Newsreported. Dude's debut was a high-profile affair witnessed by Kylie Jenner, Tyga, Paris Hilton, Fat Joe, Madonna, and more.

Meeks walked in Monday's show alongside Young Thug, Desiigner, and Pete Wentz. In an interview with the New York Times, Plein—a German designer—explained his hesitance in expanding to the United States. "I tried to avoid it for a very long time because the American market is very developed and the consumer is very spoiled," Plein said. "Markets like Russia and China are much more open to new brands and much easier to enter. They're hungry to consume."

After being sentenced to two years in federal prison on a weapons violation, Meeks was released in March 2016 to immediate modeling offers. His manager, Jim Jordan, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times that Meeks appreciated the support and looked forward to his new career. "There are a multitude of offers on the table," Jordan said at the time. "Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family."
