A 23-year-old Florida native was arrested earlier in the week for sexually abusing his family dog “Baby Girl” over 100 times over the course of three years, the Pensacola News Journal Reports.
After an unnamed family member reported the abuse, investigators took the pit bull to a veterinarian, where it was determined that the dog’s genitals exhibited signs of abuse. The family member reportedly watched Hubbard bring the dog to his room with the intention of having sex with it and “could not take it anymore."
The female family member says she watched Hubbard and the dog through a hole in his bedroom door, and that the dog would “whimper and cry out in pain,” during the abuse, according to the report. She added that over time, the dog became silent as the abuse continued.
It’s unclear which of Hubbard’s family members reported the abuse, though authorities say he was living with his father and his father’s girlfriend at the time of his arrest.
Hubbard, who has since been released on $15,000 bond, faces multiple charges that includes causing the pain, suffering, or death of an animal. This isn’t the first time Hubbard has been arrested. His previous charges include resisting arrest, battery, and larceny. If convicted, Hubbard faces a fine and jail time.
