Sorry to dampen the holiday spirit with gruesome and disturbing news: A Texas man was charged with capital murder on Christmas Eve, after he drove straight up to an Oklahoma prison smeared in another person's blood. Suspect Jeshhur Robinson has been accused of stabbing his own father to death.

Robinson's father Glen Williams was found dead in his Texas home on Saturday, according to officials. Police believe he died of multiple stab wounds. Upon entering Williams' home, authorities reported "obvious signs" of a struggle prior to the murder, People confirms. Detectives at the scene also noticed that the 62-year-old man's truck was missing and issued a statewide bulletin in an effort to locate the vehicle. At the same time Texas police scoured the state in search of their suspect, officials at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary reportedly noticed a man behaving suspiciously in the prison's parking lot.

After alerting the local police, authorities approached  Robinson, who they say was sitting in his father's truck. The 32-year-old allegedly had blood all over his hands and clothing as well as inside the truck. Upon taking Robinson into custody, authorities said they recovered drugs, but not the weapon used in the killing. They believe he discarded it somewhere on his way from Texas to Oklahoma.

Robinson, who has a prior record of theft and drug convictions, was taken into custody where he remains on a $1 million bail, court records obtained by People show. He is currently awaiting extradition. Officials believe Robinson acted alone, although the motive is still unknown.
