Former president Bill Clinton had strong words for president-elect Donald Trump and his supporters last week when he spoke to reporters in New York. Clinton said that incoming president Trump "doesn't know much, [but] one thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him," Politico reports

Clinton addressed a group of reporters in a book shop on Dec. 10 in Pleastantville, New York, where he spoke about the election and why his wife and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost to Trump. Answering a question about Russian interference with the election in favor of Trump, Clinton said, "you would need to have a single-digit IQ not to recognize what was going on." Politico reports that Clinton's remarks were published in the print version of the local paper, the Review-Record

While Clinton's claim that white men voted in large numbers for Trump, he neglected to note that 53 percent of white women who voted in November also voted for Trump. Trump's victory has largely been credited to white voters, regardless of gender, as people of color voted overwhelmingly for Clinton.

He also critized FBI director James Comey, who released a letter about Hillary Clinton's emails days before the election, saying Comey "cost her the election." Clinton also criticized Trump's claims that he won the election by a "landslide." Mocking the claim, "Landslide? I got something like 370 electoral votes [in 1992]. That was a landslide."

Clinton also confirmed reports that Trump gave him a call on Nov. 9, which Clinton remarked was like old time when the two were buddy-buddy with one another.
