People across the US who are doing overtime on Tinder in preparation for cuffing season (no judgment) might have noticed there's more than just local hotties and notties thrown in with their usual swiping. In 16 countries including the States, Tinder and Rock the Vote teamed up last week to introduce issues and presidential candidates into the mix, aiming to help match users with either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump based on the issues they swipe left or right on.

In a press release provided to Complex, Tinder revealed the results of a week's worth of swiping on the issues, and which presidential candidate people were matching up with. According to the press release, 57 percent of swipers in the U.S. matched with Clinton based on their poll responses. 43 percent matched with Trump.

53 percent of participants said they plan to vote for Hillary Clinton, while 47 percent said they plan to vote for Trump. Comparatively, the latest ABC News and Washington Post joint poll shows Trump leading Clinton 46 percent to 45 percent among likely voters.

As for the issues, Tinder polling found that nearly a third of U.S. participants did not think that global warming is a major issue. Regarding gun safety laws, 53 percent of Tinder guys said they want fewer gun safety laws, while 67 percent of women said they wanted more gun safety laws. 65 percent of participants said they would like to see an increase in taxation on the wealthiest 1 percent.
