Amber Rose set out on her second annual SlutWalk festival in Los Angeles with the hopes of providing a safe space for women to share their stories of sexual assault and slut-shaming as well as protest those very ideas. But instead, the day was plagued with religious messages by protesters who crashed the event.

Rose hosted the festival Saturday in LA's Pershing Square to protest with thousands of rape survivors and other supporters of her movement. But the real protests came shortly after from a group of Christian picketers who who held signs that read, "Repent or Perish" and wore shirts stating, "God hates U just the way U are."

The demonstrators were also heard on audio shouting, "you don't respect your own self coming out in public dressing naked... You're a fool in the eyes of God." Another protester shouted, "You're a fool in the eyes of God," in a video, which was obtained by an ABC News reporter.

Despite the unexpected visitors, many of the Slut Walk attendees didn't seem pay much attention. Women and men, who were dressed in anything ranging from t-shirts to lingerie, danced around and partied along with Amber Rose and other celebrity guests including Blac Chyna. Other marchers held up signs such as "Don’t tell me to cover up" and "No Means No."

The current contestant on Dancing with the Stars also spoke about getting rid of the stigma that suggest a woman's clothing can trigger rape. "The idea that there is some aesthetic that attracts sexual assault or even keeps you safe from sexual assault is inaccurate, ineffective and even dangerous," Rose said.

Amber Rose's SlutWalk was originally conceived in October of 2011. During her first march, the television host spoke about being publicly slandered for her relationships with Kanye West and her ex-husband Wz Khalifa. While she forgave both of them for their slut-shaming comments, Rose's mother turning Yeezy's infamous "30 showers" statement and turned it into a powerful signed that many held during the march.

Complex has reached out to Amber's team in regards to the religious picketers, but they didn't immediately return our request for comment.
