Between being naked and masturbating in public, being high on crack cocaine ended poorly for one Dallas woman who was arrested on four counts of harassing a public servant.
Around 5:30 a.m. last Tuesday, paramedics called the police for help restraining a patient, Lacresha Craig, after she had screamed incoherently and flailed her arms around when paramedics asked her for her name.
The 27-year-old was reportedly caught masturbating "on her back butt naked" and high on crack cocaine when officers approached, according to the Dallas Morning News. While she had stopped masturbating when the officers arrived, the shenanigans were far from over.
After being handcuffed, Craig reportedly became increasingly disturbed, continuing to yell and flail around, according to WFAA. Craig, who is HIV-positive, repeatedly spit on the officers and paramedics, because, the Houston Chronicle reports, "she thought they would get HIV." (However, while HIV can be spread through bodily fluids, saliva isn't one of them.)
Paramedics put a mask over her mouth in an attempt to stop her from spitting, but Craig managed to wiggle free and "spit more and more," according to her arrest warrant affidavit. One officer was even hit in the face and mouth by Craig's spit.
Eventually, officers put a spit hood over Craig's head, and she was taken to a local hospital, where staff told police they had treated Craig before and that she had tested positive for HIV.
She's now in jail on a $10,000 bail and has been charged with four counts of harassment of a public servant.
