A Georgia man was arrested this week after allegedly attacking someone for criticizing the quality of his rapping. Jeremy Peterson, a resident of Albany, is alleged to have attacked Darren Lewis because he was "hating on his rapping skills," WALB 10reported. Police said Peterson choked Lewis unconscious during a fight early Wednesday morning.

All was apparently fine just moments before the alleged altercation. Peterson is believed to have accepted Lewis' offer to give him a ride to his Harmon Avenue residence from an undisclosed location, though the men's conversation must have taken a different turn by the time Lewis' vehicle arrived at Peterson's home.

As Lewis prepared to drop off Peterson, a physical dispute reportedly broke out. Peterson, police toldWALB 10, then attacked Lewis for the aforementioned reason of "hating on his rapping skills." According to police reports, Peterson managed to choke Lewis until he blacked out twice. Peterson was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The Dougherty County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to Complex’s request for comment.

Getting arrested after becoming violent in response to an interruption of creativity is not, however, a groundbreaking offense. A Wyoming man was arrested in June for allegedly pulling a knife on someone for talking during a movie, with the Casper Star Tribunereporting he allegedly threatened his fellow moviegoer with the promise that there was "still enough time to get a hole in ya."

Though it surely goes without saying, let's make this absolutely clear: you should definitely try absolutely none of these responses in real life.
