Former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) has found himself at the center of controversy yet again, this time for allegedly getting involved with a minor. On Tuesday, Daily Mail broke an exclusive about the 51-year-old fallen politician's alleged online sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl whose name is being withheld because she's a minor.
In the video above, the subject in question tells Daily Mail in an anonymous interview that their online relationship began on Twitter, then moved to Facebook Messages, and eventually escalated to exchanging provocative photos and him asking her to undress. "He knew I was in high school," she says. Screenshots of the messages can also be found in the video, including ones like, "You just like turning me on?" and "Your body is pretty insane." She also alleges that Weiner would ask her to role-play by pretending they were student and teacher, and further alleges he went into rape fantasies that imagined Weiner showing up at her home when her dad was out of town and dominating her. Daily Mail reports that the alleged online relationship started in January, before he and his wife Huma Abedin separated. This revelation comes on the heels of another sexting scandal from three weeks ago, when his alleged texts with his "sext buddy," a 40-year-old woman, were leaked online.
Of course, Weiner has a long history of sexting troubles, which is the main reason for his political downfall. Earlier this year, Sundance Selects released a documentary, titled Weiner, about the former congressman's fall from glory in 2013, when Sydney Leathers leaked lewd photos and messages Weiner had sent her.
This also isn't Weiner's first alleged involvement online with a teen; back in 2011, he was caught communicating with a 17-year-old, but that case was soon dismissed because the messages were proven to be "neither explicit nor indecent."
Daily Mail reports Weiner did not deny exchanging "flirtatious" messages with the 15-year-old. In a statement to the website, he said, "I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgement [sic] about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent. I am filled with regret and heartbroken for those I have hurt."
