iPhone 7 leaks have kept people guessing about what features Apple's forthcoming phone will or will not have, but something bigger has leaked: the release date for said phone. In an interview with NPR, singer Barbra Streisand, an unlikely Apple plug, may have provided the best clue to the highly anticipated release date.

Streisand dropped the information when NPRasked Siri, "Who's the only female vocalist who's had hit records for six straight decades?" The answer was Barbra Streisand, who herself noted that Siri pronounces her name incorrectly and that so she took care of it by calling Apple's CEO.

"I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th," Streisand said.

So what does it mean that iOS 10 will debut Sept. 30? As Uproxxnoted, the release of a new iOS version has previously coincided with the release of a new iPhone. Last year Apple released iOS 9 on Sept. 16, with the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus being released on Sept. 25. In 2014, iOS 8 was made available Sept. 17, and the iPhone 6 arrived just two days later.

With the iPhone 7 about a month away from release, here's what you can expect from Apple's latest. First off, a leaked video has shown what the iPhone 7 will allegedly look like. Features wise, the biggest change is the reported removal of the headphone jack and addition of stereo speakers, though the latter has been recently disputed. The camera is also set be improved, and the antennae lines from the iPhone 6 will be a thing of the past.

And if you're looking ahead, rumor has it Apple could be cooking up an all-glass iPhone 8 for the iPhone's 10th anniversary in 2017.
