An Emirates plane burst into flames after a crash landing in Dubai on Wednesday, forcing 300 passengers and crew members to make an emergency evacuation.

According to a statement from the airline, all 282 passengers and 18 crew members aboard flight EK521 are safe. The Boeing 777 jet was flying in from Trivandrum International Airport  in Thiruvananthapuram, India when it crashed at the airport around 12:45 p.m. local time.

Videos from the incident show passengers, including 226 from India, 24 from the UK, 11 from the United Arab Emirates, and six from the United States, running from the wreckage of the flight.

In a statement posted to the airline's Facebook page, Emirates' Chairman & Chief Executive Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum said the airline cooperating with authorities and airline services. Phone lines have been opened for family members of those affected to call and ensure their safety.

"Thankfully there were no fatalities among our passengers and crew," he said. "Our first priority in this case the being the wellbeing of our passengers and our crew answer queries from all the families. We have activated our emergency center here, and we are always trying to take care of our passengers." 

All flights to and from the Dubai airport were suspended following the crash, and the airline said it expects travel to resume at around 6:30 p.m. local time. The cause of the crash has not yet been announced, and Emirates did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
