Thanks to the beauty of human evolution, bummers now come in all shapes and sizes. But few bummers could hold a candle to the profound sense of disappointment currently spreading across the globe following the cancelation of the world's first-ever virtual reality porn festival. Need a minute to gather your emotions? It's cool. We got you.

The Adult VR Festa was unexpectedly called off at the last minute due to a problem event organizers definitely should have seen coming from a mile away: overcrowding. According toDigital Spy, the fest offered a "bevy" of fun for adult-centered VR enthusiasts for just 3,000 yen (just under 30 bucks). But no amount of pornthusiasm could keep the bummers at bay.

Plans for a rescheduled Adult VR Festa were not immediately available, but here's some rare, porn-related good news: you don't have to go all the way to Japan to soak in the immersive pleasure vibes. Back in March, the prolific minds over at Pornhub unveiled a bunch of free VR porn because, quite simply, friends don't let friends watch lo-fi porn in the year 2016.

"Now, our users are not only able to view our content, but be protagonists in the experience and interact with their favorite porn stars," Pornhub's Vice President, Corey Price, said when announcing their partnership with BaDoinkVR. Still bummed about the world's first VR porn fest getting canceled? You shouldn't be!

So kick back, pretend to care about patriotism on this most obnoxious of holidays, and crank up the VR porn. It's what our Founding Fathers would have wanted.
