Certified Monster George Zimmerman Continues to Troll Trayvon Martin's Family

George Zimmerman calls out Trayvon Martin’s family and claims he’s the real victim.

Unsurprisingly, George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in 2012, says he is the real victim in the aftermath of Martin's death. In an interview this week with The Daily Beast, Zimmerman trolls Martin's family, saying the teenager's parents "didn't raise their son right." One might wonder what Zimmerman has to say about his own mother and her son.

Zimmerman added that Martin "attacked a complete stranger and attempted to kill him" (which is, ironically, the exact action Zimmerman took against Martin, except Zimmerman actually did kill Trayvon and was acquitted by a jury). Forget the fact that there was never any evidence that Martin attacked anyone, or did anything other than ask Zimmerman why he was following him through his own neighborhood. But these are clearly just semantics to Zimmerman, who has regularly exhibited a lack of empathy and questionable judgment following his acquittal.

Zimmerman does little more in the interview than provide further evidence to believe that he is evil incarnate, and it comes only a handful of days after he commenced an auction for the gun he used to kill Martin. Zimmerman told The Daily Beast he is selling the weapon because "[i]t is what was used to save my life from a near-death brutal attack by Trayvon Martin. If it was a stick or mace, it’s the one tool I had that prevented Trayvon from killing me." While Zimmerman was armed with the gun he's now trying to sell for personal profit, police reports at the time noted that Martin by contrast was carrying a bag of Skittles.

The Daily Beast asked Zimmerman if it mattered that Martin's parents are upset about the fact that the weapon used to kill their teenage son is now up for auction, to which Zimmerman of course responded by suggesting that Martin's parents are to blame for the tragedy: "I’m sorry for any parent that has lost a child. That being said, I also believe it’s their duty to have an internal dialog to see what they should have done better and what they should have done appropriately." Such as not being black in America? Okay, George.

For his part, Zimmerman only seems upset about the fact that the "luxury" of a free life has been stripped of him, a man who killed a teenager in cold blood. According to The Daily Beast, Zimmerman lamented, "If I have to live my life and if I have to go about my business as a normal person, then I would do that. However, I’m not afforded that luxury anymore. You guys. The media. The masses. The Fulton-Martin family. They took that from me."

And he took the life of an innocent teenager.

George Zimmerman did not immediately reply to Complex's request for comment.
