Two Men Casually Steal Motorbike From Melbourne Carpark In Broad Daylight

GTA IRL.

A team of brazen jackers have a stolen a motorbike in broad daylight from RMIT’s Bundoora campus carpark in Melbourne, using only a spanner and a screwdriver, the Daily Mail reports.

Footage of the incident shows two men, one in a getaway car nearby, and the other smashing his tools into the motorbike to smash the steering lock. The man filming makes it clear to the thief that he’s caught him on camera, but the jacker has no regard for this, having covered his face.

After this, the man rolls it out of the parking spot and hooks it up to a yellow rope on the duo’s car, towing it away. At this point, the security team finally manages to saunter over and look confused, ultimately doing nothing at all apart from seemingly suggesting someone call the police.

A caller to Melbourne’s 3AW said that the motorbike fell over after turning the corner, throwing the rider off, and discouraging the duo enough to leave it behind – we assume this was then immediately followed with the "Wasted" game over screen from GTA.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Meadows also spoke to the station, explaining the thieves seemed “desperate”, and this is seemingly why they didn’t give a single shit.

'They haven't been able to get it started, that's why they've used the rope and towed it out onto Plenty Road…still having the brake on, losing control and dumping it in the middle of the road and taking off," he said.

The video of the incident has been shared hundreds of times on Facebook, and police are now investigating further. As many commenters pointed, they probably won't have to look far for someone who would have been able to tow the bike back to their house, as they most likely live locally. Probably should have just stuck to Xbox Live, boys.
