A Sydney man has been charged with common assault and malicious damage after basically attempting to take down a bus with his bare hands.
The video, which made it's way to the internet via Reddit, begins after the man stepped off the bus, where he had reportedly been racially abusing an Asian couple. He is seen smashing the bus with a window wiper he had ripped from the vehicle.
He then begins to smash the window with his hands – and this is where it gets really nuts – noticing his hands are bleeding, he goes into Ong Bak mode and begins to attack with his elbows.
The video was shared by Reddit user tr1gz, who added this commentary:
Mate said when he got on the bus it was already kind of awkward and the guy in the video was in the back of the bus and got up with his fist clenched walking towards the front of the bus. An old lady grabbed him and told him "Stop, you've harassed them enough!" Referring to a young Asian couple at the front of the bus. He then said "I was just returning him his chopsticks." The Asian guy said "What are you going on about I wasn't eating anything, what are you trying to say?"
The bus driver told him he's kicking him off or taking him to the police station. He hopped off and everyone started heckling him and that's when he went nuts.
After fleeing the scene, the attacker was found shortly after in a nearby street. He is currently under police guard at Royal North Shore Hospital, and will face court in April.
